"Was She to Blame," "The False Vow"--etc, while Harry'd are decidedly Henglish, aside from his law books, and those are 'Ellish. I tried to read some of them just to see whether there's anything to law, but there really isn't. Just a lot of silly names that don't mean anything. Let's never be divorced, or do you insist? Because why, I'll never be able to understand what it was all about. At Julie's tonight we sang "Mr. Zip, Zip, Zip" and a lot of the army & navy things the school kids are singing. When we came home, Malen hid on the back of the car, I slipped him the key, and he was in the kitchen with his teeth fastened in a jelly roll before we all had set foot on the porch. Malen's a prize pup, and he's coming over and stay nights with us lots of times this winter. It's a vile way to treat John tho, and I do love to tuck that kid into bed.
