letters are written in haste and repented at leisure. Mary and Daphne are with us now and we are enjoying their visit immensely. The only thing to mar our happiness is the fact that you are so far away and constantly in danger and can have no share in our little pleasure excursions. However we are looking forward to a happier time when we hope to have the pleasure of meeting the nephew of whom we are all so proud. We have just returned from a trip to the Dells and the Palisades -- a wonderful formation of rock which divided Rock and Pipestone counties in Minnesota and Minnehaha and Moody
