[Lizzy Salmon] OM 100-4095 Party who resides in Chicago, Illinois and WARREN BATTERSON, former District Organizer from District #32, Communist Party, were in Des Moines on the morning of December 18, 1950 and were observed entering the home of the subject at 1108 3rd Street, Des Moines, Iowa. [ ] also advised that [ ] and BATTERSON were observed leaving the home of the subject around 2:00 or 3:00 PM this same day. (U) b2 b7D (U) [ ] advised that on June 26, 1951,] a 1946 Maroon Ford Four Door Sedan, Illinois license 1906-259, was parked in front of the subject's home, 1108 3rd Street. On the same day, a person, later identified by [Confidential Informant [ ]] (U) of known reliability, as OTTO EDVOLD ANSTROM, Wa. OTTO ADAMS, entered this automobile at 1:20 PM in front of the subject's home. [According to [ ] on July 5, 1951] this same Ford was again parked at 1108 3rd Street and OTTO ANSTROM was the driver (U) of the car. ANSTROM departed from 1108 3rd Street in the Ford automobile in the company of the subject. At the Registration Bureau of the Illinois Motor Vehicle Department in Springfield, Illinois, it was ascertained that 1951 Illinois License plate 1906-259 on 1946 Ford Tudor Sedan, was registered in the name of OTTO E. ANSTROM, care of Prostem, 1441 East 60th Place, Chicago, Illinois. [] advised that (U) b2 b7D on July 14, 1951 the automobile of OTTO EDVOLD ANSTROM was parked in front of the home of the subject at 1108 3rd Street, Des Moines. [On July 17, 1951, according to [ ] the 1951 (U) Green Pontiac Sedan, Iowa License 77-70484, owned by EDNA AND STANLEY GRIFFIN was parked in the vicinity of OTTO ANSTROM'S residence at 1212 2nd Avenue, Des Moines. On this same date according to [blank] EDNA GRIFFIN was noted leaving the home of OTTO ANSTROM at 1212 2nd Avenue, Des Moines. [According to [blank] again on July 18, 1951 and on August 4, 1951, the automobile (U) of OTTO ANSTROM was parked in front of the subject's home at 1108 3rd Street, Des Moines. OTTO EDVOLD ANSTROM has been reliably reported by [Confidential Informants [blank] of known reliability, as former (U) organizer for the Farm Section of the New Jersey Communist Party and now has a full time organizer for the Communist Party in Iowa.
