INTERNAL SECURITY- C [handwritten] F made 7-6-49 [?] ALL INFORMATION CONTAINED HEREIN IS UNCLASSIFIED DATE 02-21-2006 BY AUC 60309 TAM/DCG/JW ReBulet dated May 26, 1949, captioned, "COMMUNIST PARTY, USA, DISTRICT NO.32, OMAHA OFFICE, INTERNAL SECURITY -C, KEY FIGURE LIST," and to Omaha letter to the Bureau dated March 29, 1949, which reflected that the subject is considered a key figure in the Omaha Office. A review of subject's file reflects that meetings of the Des Moines Branch of the Communist Party, USA, have been held at the subject's home and that on occasions WARREN W. BATTERSON, District No. 32 Organizer, Communist Party, USA has visited in the subject's home. b2 b7D The subject has been reported by Confidential Informant [ ] as being Secretary of the Des Moines Branch of the Communist Party and active in Communist Party affairs in the Des Moines area. Further, the subject is Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 5th Congressional District of Iowa for the Progressive Party. In view of the above the subject is considered a key figure in the Omaha Office and it is requested that the subject's name be maintained on the key figure list submitted by this office. At the time the next report is prepared relative to the subject the character at that time will be carried as INTERNAL SECURITY - C.
