[ ] was advised that on October 29, 1949, a birthday party in honor of the subject was held in her home at 1108 3rd Street, Des Moines, Iowa. WARREN BATTERSON, mentioned above, and CHARLES HOWARD, subject's attorney, were present. HOWARD spoke about his trip to New York and the fact that he had introduced PAUL ROBESON at a Progressive Party meeting in New York City and that ROBESON had been enthusiastically received.
