OM 100-4095 is Organizer for the Communist Party in the State of Iowa and Nebraska. The main problem discussed at this meeting was as indicated by OTTO ANSTROM that the Communist Party of the United States was pledged to support negro business and encourage negroes to go into business creating a bourgeoisie class and the idea of a negro nation. b2 b7D On January 9, 1952, according to Informant [blank box] OTTO ANSTROM was present at the home of EDNA GRIFFIN, 1108 - 3rd Street. b2 b7C b7D On January 14, 1952, OTTO ANSTROM and the subject were present at the home of the subject at 1108 - 3rd Street in Des Moines, Iowa. According to Informant [blank box] the subject is still vitally interested in Civil Rights action in Sioux City, Iowa, against the Sioux City Police Department for arresting a [blank box] on charge of prostitution. According to [blank box], EDNA GRIFFIN went to Sioux City, Iowa, on January 18 1952 and returned on January 23, 1952in connection with the [blank box] case. She is attempting to pit out leaflets, letters, and so forth, and also to get women's church groups active on behalf of [blank box]. b2 b7C b7D On January 26, 1952, [blank box] and EDNA GRIFFIN were all present at the home of EDNA GRIFFIN. [blank box] b7C According to Confidential Informant Omaha [blank box] of known reliability [blank box] is a self-admitted Communist. Informant [blank box] also advised that [blank box] is a member of the Communist Party. On February 4, 1952, OTTO ANSTROM was at the home of EDNA GRIFFIN, 1108 - 3rd Street, Des Moines, Iowa.
