EDNA GRIFFIN wanted the Woodbury County Farmers Union to protest the arrest of [REDACTED]. b7C EDNA GRIFFIN, according to [REDACTED] had indicated an interest in a negro newspaper, the "Iowa Sepia News", which according to [REDACTED] was in possible financial straits and she placed a telephone call to [REDACTED] Chicago, Illinois, telephone number Dearborn 2096 to talk to him about the newspaper in Des Moines, Iowa. She also tried to reach the man at Museum 47645 in Chicago. On February 11, 1952, the subject informed [REDACTED] that she was proud of the fact that FREDERICK STOVER had been at her home and the Party had finally been successful in getting him to come to her house. [REDACTED] at which STOVER had been present had been to help map out a policy which would meet the objections raised by [REDACTED] of the National Farmers Union again STOVER. b2 b7C b7D On February 15, 1952, EDNA GRIFFIN went to Sioux City, Iowa, in relation to the [REDACTED] case and returned on Monday February 18,1952. She advised [REDACTED] that while in Sioux City, Iowa, they had held a tea in which they had gathered together a group of negro and white women to work on the [REDACTED] case. She also stated that [REDACTED] was present at this gathering. She also stated that she had had an argument with OTTO ANSTROM concerning how rapidly the Trade Unions and Farmers Unions were to work on the question of JIM CROW issues. On February 20, 1952, EDNA GRIFFIN told [REDACTED] that there had been an argument between [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] in Omaha, Nebraska. EDNA stated that [REDACTED] was so afraid of being watched that he was fearful of doing anything constructive in Omaha, Nebraska and that OTTO would have to straighten this out whether he liked to or not. On February 21, 1952, EDNA GRIFFIN consulted [REDACTED] concerning the questionnaire which [REDACTED] had received from the Loyalty Review Board concerning [REDACTED] and his association with EDNA GRIFFIN. b2 b7C b7D On February 22, 1952, as previously reported to the Bureau, [REDACTED] came to the home of Informant [REDACTED] where EDNA GRIFFIN -8-
