[handwritten] IOWA (U) [According to [blank box] (U) the subject accompanied by [blank box] and his wife, went to Sioux City, Iowa, on December 8, 1951, in connection with the [blank box] case. (U) [ Confidential Informant [blank box] of known reliability, advised [blank box] [blank box] is a member of the Communist Party. (U) [Confidential Informant [blank box] of known reliability advised] OTTO EDVOLD ANSTROM is an organizer for the Communist Party, and [ according to [blank box] ] is the organizer for the State of Iowa and Nebraska, District No. 32 b2 b7C b7D (U) [Confidential Informant [blank box] of known reliability advised] that [blank box] is a self-admitted Communist. (U) [Confidential Informant [blank box] advised ] that [blank box] is a member of the Communist Party, Des Moines, Iowa. The Communist Party had been cited by the Attorney General as coming within the purview of Executive Order 9835. b2 b7C b7D Confidential Informant [blank box] advised that on December 29, 1951, [blank box] his wife, and OTTO ANSTROM were present at the home of the subject at 1108 Third Street, Des Moines, Iowa. (U) The main problem discussed at this meeting was, as indicated by ANSTROM, that the Communisty Party, USA was pledged to support negro business and encourage negroes to go into business creating a bourgeoise class and the idea of a negro nation (U) [blank box] advised that on January 9 and 14, 1952, ANSTROM was at the home of the subject (U) According to [blank box] the subject is still vitally interested in the [blank box] case and that on January 18, 1952, she went to Sioux City , on this matter and returned on January 23, 1952.
