Report to Supremer Council... continued Lulac Council #10, Davenport, Iowa President Henry Vargas reports that Salvadore Lopez has been appointed on Davenport Housing Committee for the Aged. John Vasquez has be appointed to serve on the Planning committee for United Community Services. On Feb. 10, 1969 Council #10 observed its over $3500.00 in Scholarships locally. Plus it has contributed over $1500.00 to the State Scholarship. Assisted and advised a group of Mexican Americans who were victims of police brutality. Participated at the Midwest Conference on Dec. 7, 1968. Lulac Clubroom was the site for a joint meeting of the Iowa and Illinois Migrant Council of Churches. Council 10 initiated first active Grape Boycott in start of Iowa. John Terronez appointed Chairman and Ernest Rodriguez is Co-Chairman. Investigated case of alleged discrimination in Plumbere Union. Mexican American was rehired. Will Host Iowa State Mexican Bowling Tournament in Davenport on May 3, 1969. Jesse Remirez is the Chairmen. LULAC COUNCIL #10 WILL HOST THE MIDWEST CONFERENCE in DAVENPORT AT THE HOTEL BCACKHAWK ON APRIL 12,1969. ALL BROTHER AND SISTER LULAC's ARE URGED TO ATTEND. RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED : JOHN A.
