Saving...
To all State Officers and Council Presidents Dear Brother Vasquez Enclosed please find a statement of expenses which that each active Council in Iowa has been assessed on equal share of the State Budget. I would like to have each Council's share of the stated expenses as soon as possible. The expenses of the State and Scholarship having top priority. I don't want to have a rapt pf the trouble with the scholarship as we had last year. I don't think Miss Salazer or you want that to happen again either. The past year was very rewarding as far as experience, personal contacts, and recongnitions for LULAC in Iowa. However, we still have with us that 'old' problem of ' communications.' Therefore, am asking that each active Council in Iowa send me a copy of the minutes of each membership meeting within a reasonable time after such a meeting. Each Council will also send to this office an up to date Roster of their membership IMMEDIATELY as i must have this information for the National Office. State Officers will see to it that the Councils in their receptive area comply with above request from this office. The information you give mw will enable me to keep better informed of each Council. Also this information will be of valuble use to the content of the "LULAC GLANCES." The success of the LULAC in Iowa was the 'recognized' leader in the Midwest.! This coming year, with God's help, Iowa will ADELINE CON LOS LULAC" A DE IOWA !!!!! YOURS FOR A GREATER LULAC IN IOWA ; JOHN A. TERRONEZ LULAC STATE DIRECTOR OF IOWA P.S...I have not had time to submit to you my expenses occurred at the recent Nat ' L Convention. I feel that the State Budget ( because of the Scholarship) should have priority. In the near future, I will be asking you to re-imbure me for the expense I occurred at the recent Nat'l Convention held in Long Beach, California. (keep the fait, Baby 1)
