Ruffus Dandridge was born in Slavery in Kentucky Nov 15, 1842 the reason He Knew His age His Slave Master was not a rich plantation owner and He own. the Dandridge family and He kep the family His father Harry Dandridge and Ellen Morris Dandridge His mother thay Had Seven Children He often told of the day Slavery Ended. He said He was with His master fixing a fence when He said 2 men Came up riding Horses and told His Master that the slaves were free.
