Times were Hard in Dandridge large Family but the Children all went to school all white Scholl Mostly all Iowa children some Irsh All of the Children got a 6 or 5 grade scholling. Harry and George the oldest boy never Started to school untill the middle of Nov and quit the middle of March thay had to wait untill the Harvest was over in the fall. and Middle of March the spring planting worked for the white farmer at $20.00 a month the Country school Just went to 6 grade
