[illegible] The sex of the specimen was not recorded in all cases and hence does not appear in the table. In the measurements in which the numbers are not given there were several of the same length. The dotted diagrams represent the variation from the [illegible] measurements and also the tendency of variation. Fifty specimens were diagramed in all but the lengths in which, the record being incomplete, but thirty [illegible] could be represented. An equal number of males and females were taken in all cases except that of lengths where 72% are males and 28% females: The greatest nunbers are [illegible] the average. ([illegible] table [illegible]) The measurements of [using?] and [illegible] also show an accumulation of the dots to the [illegible] or a tendency toward retardation. The tail shows a tendency to lengthen. The middle [illegible] shows a similar tendency but to a greater extent. The length of [illegible] tends slightly to increase. Depth of [illegible] and length of [illegible] [unvaried?]. The following scheme will show the tendency of the parts, those to the left tend to [illegible] smaller, those to the right of th [illegible]. - larger
