16 Middle toe Hind toe Depth Cul Length L.Culmen Wing Tail Tarsus neither direction. The middle toe, hind toe and depth of culmen tend slightly to decrease. The wing and tail show a decided tendency in the opposite direction, the tarsus tends to increase in [a less?] degree. In the plotting paper diagrams it is found that the wing varies uniformly throughout [illegible] slightly in those birds just above the average. The tail shows a close correlation throughout. The tarsus, culmen and middle toe also vary together in the [main?]. The hind toe varies most in the large specimens. Of the thirty specimens diagramed, eighteen or 60% show a variation of wing and tail in the same direction. In winter the tarsus and middle toe vary together. In all case the length of culmen varies close by with them. This species shows a greater correlation between parts than any of the other four. Neither time nor space [permit?] a discussion of the relation between the two species of [illegible] but by a reference to the data here recorded it will be sure that no [illegible] live of [illegible] exists between them such as one would expect [illegible] they well established species.
