14 FAUNA of the SAINT LOUIS LIMESTONE. Since, in Iowa, the Saint Louis Limestone immediately underlies the Coal Measures, it is well to study a few of the fossils of this formation. In Iowa the sub-kingdom Protozoa is not known to occur in this formation. It is represented, however, in the Saint Louis Limestone at Spergen Hill, Indian.
