     Organisms made up of granulated [?jelly?] like sarcode (protoplasm) which alternately protrudes and retracts pseudopodia. They usually secrete calcareous, chitinous, or silicious tests.
[underlined][underlined][underlined]FORAMINIFERA.[/underlined][/underlined][/underlined]

     Rhizopoda with thread-like or band-like pseudopodia which frequently anastimose. The shell or test is usually calcareous, but rarely chitinous, or silicious or [?arenaceous?].
