     Corallum large, massive, approaching globular in form, made up of capilliform, closely arranged cells or corallites, which have a diameter of about one sixtieth of an inch. Under a magnifier the surface has very much the appearance of a honeycomb, the cells being irregularly hexagonal. A section, longitudinal with the corallites, shows diaphragms perpendicular to the axes of the corallites.
