[underlined][underlined][underlined][underlined][underlined]ECHINODERMATA.[/underlined][/underlined][/underlined][/underlined][/underlined] This sub-kingdom contains simple marine animals, which when young are bilaterlly symmetrical; but in the adult state this symmetry is obscured by a radial arrangement of the parts. These animals have the alimentary canal separated from the true body cavity and with or without a distinct anus. The integument is hardened by a deposition of calcium carbonate and takes on a definite arrangement of plates. DIVISION A. ECHINOZOA.
