[page]102.[/page] Dorsal valve nearly straight from beack [back?beak?] to front, but arched from side to side, beak slightly incurved ending under beak of the other valve. Ventral valve convex, beak prominent closely incurved, foramen oval, slightly anterior to point of beak, mesial sinus shallow, wide, extending from umbo to anterior margin. Surface marked by indistinct lines of growth and by extremely fine punctae. Length of shell one third to two thirds of an inch, width three sixteenths to one half inch. Geol.
