A medium-sized Spirifer of semi-circular or sub-triangular outlines, valves nearly equally convex; varying from moderately thick to gibbous; hinge line usually equal to greatest width of shell; cardinal angles sometimes extended sometimes short. Dorsal valve with slightly prominent incurved beak which extends but little beyond the cardinal
