     Pallial line entire, except in one Tertiary genus. Two adductor muscles, except in a recent genus in which there is but one; anterior adductor small, posterior larger. Ligament usually contained in several marginal grooves or in an oblique furrow. The hinge may be or may not be provided with teeth.
