     This order contains both marine and fresh water bivalves with fine mouth lobes and thickened margins; there are two adductor muscles except in the genus Mulleria. [Mulleria has 2 dots over u] The shell is equivalve. There may be or may not be an interior pearly layer. Pallial line simple, ligament external.
