The fore part of the foot is divided into eight or more tentacles or arms which are situated about the mouth. The epipodia are well developed and by joining form a muscular tube through which the waste water is discharged from the respiratory organs. One or two pairs of gills are present. [underlined][underlined][underlined]TETRABRANCHIATA.[/underlined][/underlined][/underlined] The members of this order have a many-chambered external shell; the last and largest chamber contains the body proper of the animal.
