Friday, May 7, 1971 - Iowa City Press-Citizen-3A MOVING IN-Iowa City police, Johnson County Sheriff's deputies and Iowa highway patrolmen were again called into the city last night to clear the streets of anti-war demonstrators and curious spectators. In upper left photo, Iowa City police Chied Patrick J. McCarney (far right) leads some of the 37 activated city policemen down Clin- ton Street near Phillips Hall about 12:40 a.m. At right, a Johnson County sheriff's deputy and a highway patrolman subdue one of 14 persons arrested in sporadic police-crowd confrontations.
