Before and after in the dormitory parking lots... the University physical plant has replaced broken meters, damaged during demonstrations earlier this week, with signs limiting parking to two hours.

Campus Quiet; One Arrest

The University of Iowa campus was quiet for the third consecutive night Friday with two anti-demonstration injunctions in force to prevent any repetition of the violence here Monday and Tuesday nights. 
An injunction granted to the City of Iowa City Thursday by District Court Judge Ansel Chapman enjoins the defendants named in the injunction from acts associated with and carried out in the demonstrations earlier this week.
Allen Katz, A1, member of a "Bust Center" set up to arrange legal aid for persons arrested in the demonstrations, was the first person to be arrested under the terms of the city's injunction. 
He was arrested Friday by an Iowa
