P-C (?) 10/21/71 2 Injunctions On Orders Dissolved Here Two injunctions issued during student disorders in May were dissolved this week by District Judge Clinton E. Shaeffer, after motions were filed by two defendants' attorneys, and city and University of Iowa attorneys. The defendants who sought an end to the injunctions were Patricia M. Farrell and Christine Wemmer. They were members of a group of defendants named in the injunctions, one of which was issued on request of the university and the other on request of the city. The university and city motions for dissolution came after the defendants' attorneys filed their motion Sept. 20, and issued subpoenas naming several city and university officials. Shaeffer said he dissolved the injunctions because there "appeared to be no reason whatsoever" for maintaining them.
