DI 5/2/72 Anti war group discusses lack of student involvement. The "Committee to End Computerized Death," meeting Monday night to discuss the lack of student involvement in their cause, decided to cancel picketing of the University of Iowa Computer Center because of rainy weather. No more than two persons picketed the center at any one time Monday. The group is picketing the center as a protest to the UI's connection with the Rock Island Arsenal. The arsenal will pay the university about $300,000 this year for use of the UI computer. Leaflets passed out by the protesters say the computer is used to develop small arms. The committee also drafted a letter to UI Pres, Willard L. Boyd and the Computer Use Advisory Committee asking that the contract be broken this year. The UI administration has announced that it will stop allowing the arsenal to use the computer in June 1972. Discussing ways to get more student involvement in their anti war cause, committee members suggested publishing a newsletter containing reports of all student anti war activities; disrupting UI ROTC activities; and disrupting the Computer Center. The committee is not recognized by the university but is seeking a recognized group to endorse a petition drive calling for breaking the UI arsenal tie this year. P-C 5/4/72 March, Rally Set For Tonight An antiwar march and a Campus Crusaders for Christ rally are scheduled for tonight on the University of Iowa Pentacrest. The antiwar march, which is being held in memory of the Jackson and Kent State student killings tow years ago, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The march is tentatively scheduled to proceed across the Iowa River to the west campus area. No parade permit has been taken out, Assistant City Manager Tom Palmer said this morning. According to Palmer, a parade requires a permit, but not a march on the sidewalk if the march does not block pedestrian traffic. The Campus Crusaders for Christ will hold a rally with a rock band scheduled for 8 p.m. The rally will be one of several that organization has held on the Pentacrest this week. DI 5/9/72 Turner, regents to discuss outcome of Ford case. By STEVEN MAXWELL Daily Iowan Staff Writer Atty. Gen Richard C. Turner will address the Board of Regents in Ames Friday afternoon in hopes of bringing the case of former University of Iowa instructor Stephen Ford to an end. Ford was charged with damaged in connection with an anti ROTC demonstration on campus in 1970. He has since left the UI and gone to California for graduate work. Turner became involved in the case last fail when he recommended that the appeal in Ford's name be dropped since Ford had not initiated the action. At the time Turner asked to speak to the regents before a decision was reached. Turner will appear before the board Friday to review his recommendations and again ask that the case be dismissed,
