Linn. A winding sometimes destructive parade of protestors chanted its way from the Union to the University Recreation Building and eventually into the streets of downtown Iowa City Thursday night. A group of about 50 persons, some of them wearing war paint, left the Union shortly after 6;30 p.m. intending to confront the ROTC drill team in the Recreation Building to protest U.S. military involvement in Laos. Finding the doors to the Recreation Building locked, the frustrated protesters moved to the Field House and ransacked the offices of Army ROTC headquarters. Vice- President Phillip Hubbard was seen strolling toward the Recreation Building as the group backtracked to the Field House.
