FANDOM'S BIGGEST CONTEST Over $10.00 worth of fan items offered as prizes. I don't believe that such a contest has ever been offered by a fan for fan material. I want material for a fanzine and the best way to get that material is to offer the fans something for they're efforts. Paying so much per word or so much per page seems rather ridiculous as ther are not only technical difficulties involved, but to spread it out for an issue each fan would get so little that I consider it outeof the question. By means of this contest everyone has a chance to earn an addition to they're collection. Thirteen prizes gives everyone a chance. By the time you receive this issue the prizes will be in the hands of one of the judges, and they will possitively be given no matter if it turns out that only thirteen enter, so send your entry now to Walter J Daugherty at 846-1/3 West 82nd Street, Los Angeles, California before the dead line....JULY 15, 1942. ..._..._..._..._..._..._..._..._ [image: line drawn cartoon: Two snails read the cover of a magazine/ fanzine called [on the spine] ASTOUNDING and the front cover reads: "FETURING...
