Saving...
-3- honestly face the fact that all men, regardless of their race, color, creed or national origin are entitled to the guarantees of citizenship offered in the Constitution and should be afforded the opportunity to avail themselves of it...in every aspect of their daily life. As President Johnson said, our duty now is "to Fulfill these rights!" Tomorrow may be too late..., we must start, today! Every citizen's true concern for the future of America will show by his answer. For all who know a sincereness of purpose in the realization of what American was meant to be...have only one path to follow...right now! Has your membership expired? Check your card, and, renew! ...Or, if you haven't joined...get a NAACP membership, today! Though it is well known that all of the enemies of the Negro in his fight for equal treatment aren't white...the following item is proof. In Atlanta, Georgia, a Negro owned barbershop became the target of a 'sit-in' when negroes were not allowed to get a haircut or a shoeshine in the establishment. Officers of the law were called to remove the 'sitters' who were members of the SCLC. After what must have been a very uncomfortable four days, the owners of the sop agreed to cut other Negroes hair. THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS There is something about the Christmas time, Something in the spirit of it That sweeps it clean of the dust of other days And hallows it. Something that probes the depths of the human soul, Something in the beauty of it That urges one on to a higher goal, To a life more worthy of it. There's something about the Christmas time, Something in the spirit of it That defies the power of prose or rhyme To fathom it. Something that breathes of the time when discord shall cease Something in the spirit of it, When men shall hear and heed the call To the gracious gift of God, Of peace, peace on earth, good will to all. -Charles H. Daniels Don't forget! If we rest..., we rust! "March on, my friend. Tarrying is cowardice. To remain forever gazing upon the City of the Past is Folly. Behold, the City of the Future beckons..." -GIBRAN
