"It looks like the Cambodian front," said one. Johnson County Sheriff Maynard Schneider said Ray called him once and he called Ray once. Schneider said he made no formal request that the Guard be activated but that he told the governor on both occasions that "we didn't have enough people to handle the situation here." The university campus was quiet this noon. Some 200 persons had gathered in front of the Pentacrest where previous protests have been staged.
