Appointed assistant gymnastics coach was Neil Schmitt, 24, a former Iowa All-American gymnast who won Big Ten championships on the horizontal bar in 1967 and 1968.
In May, Bob Greenwood, head basketball coach at Washington University of St. Louis, was named varsity assistant and Dick Kuchen was named freshman coach. Kuchen is a former pro basketball player who had been working in sales promotion in Europe.

MADELINE DONNELY HEALY '25BS, '27MD of Des Moines, Iowa, is the new executive director for the 21 member North Iowa Health Council. 

CARL E. RANTZOW, '31BSCE has been elected vice president of Sverdrup & Parcel and Associates Inc., a management consulting firm in New York, he has been elected to the Board of Directors and chairman of the Growth Policy Committee of FAIM Information Services, Inc., a management consulting firm in New York.

ARNOLD M. SMALL, '34MA, '36PhD of Fullerton, Calif., has been appointed professor of human factors in the University of Southern California's institute of Aerospace Safety and Management at Los Angeles.

JOHN B, MCLENDON, JR, '37MA, of Denver, Colo., a member of the U.S. Olympic Basketball executive committee, has been named a promotional representative for the Converse Rubber Company.

G. HENRY MOULDS, '40MA has been appointed chairman of the philosophy department at Kent State University, Kent Ohio.
