P-C 12/19/70 Hearing Set For Marion In Dow Case More than three years after a student demonstration here against Dow Chemical Co., a protester who was indicted in connection with the disturbance has obtained a hearing date on his move to set aside the indictment. He is Albert G. Marion, about 33 and a former University of Iowa graduate student, indicted along with six other persons for conspiracy by a County Grand Jury. The antiwar protest took place at the University of Iowa's Memorial Union Dec. 5, 1967, when Dow Chemical Co. brought personnel recruiters to the campus. As students, objecting to the manufacture of napalm by Dow, entered the union moving toward the offices of the recruiters melees with police and UI security officers followed. The Grand Jury indictments were returned on Jan. 11, 1968. The conspiracy cases have been dormant in court for a long time. Marion's motion to set aside the indictment has been set for 1:30 p.m., Dec. 23 in Johnson County District Court. It contends the indictment is insufficient and constitutionally invalid.
