Des Moines Register Thurs., Dec. 31, 1970 Page 5 Add 2 to U of I Sit-in Charges By a Staff Writer IOWA CITY, IA.—University of Iowa officials have added another person to the group of students and former students charged with violating university and Board of Regents conduct regulations during a "sit-in" demonstration on the campus Dec. 9. Currently eight students and three former students are under charge by the university and others may be added, U of I officials said Wednesday. None of those charged has been identified. A hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 13 for the 11. U of I officials said the former students are considered visitors to the campus. The Regents rules of personal conduct state that a visitor who is found to have violated the rules may be permanently denied admission to, or employment by, any Regent institution. The demonstration at the career counseling and placement offices in Iowa Memorial Union was held to protest the scheduled appearance of a job recruiter from the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency.
