AMERICAN YMCA ON ACTIVE SERVICE WITH THE AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE ___191 was charmingly flustered by my return and we had a good little chat. Then I went to lunch at the Hotel where we used to eat. And who did I find there but Charley Mangan! He too had been here with me on the way to the war and we had served together for six months. And here our paths crossed again, for the last time in France, I suppose for Mangan is bound to the states. I confess it isn't much fun to be getting discharged in France among a lot of fellows who are bubbling with enthusiasm about going to their native land.
