LATE FLASHES as this page (Jan.31) is printed. AUSTRALIA TO HAVE CONVENTION ! Cosmos, edited by Vol Molesworth at: Del Monte, Kangaroo Pt. Road, Syvania, NSW. Australia. has gone two color ... black and red with its latest issue, Vol.2, No, 2. Big news in this issue that plans have been practically completed or the first Aussie science fiction Convention. To be held on Easter Sunday, in Stdney, it is termed 'the Sydcon' . Sponsors ask American fans and editors for aid in putting it over, and request donations of originals and fanmags (which they will sell to pay convention expenses.) If you contribute anything, send material to Vol Molesworth, above address. Good Luck Sydney! TASMANIAN FAN WARNED: IMPORT NO MORE SCIENCE FICTION ! Have a letter on hand from Don H. Tuck, North Hobart, Tasmania, dated Dec. 22, 1940, in which he states that it will be useless for me (and apparently anyone else) to send him science fiction prog mags. He states that he was notified some time ago that he must cease importing them, and when he kept ond going it the authorities got nasty. He managed to receive one more magazine, and then the authorities notified him that he would receive no more ..... they would see to that. Apparently all pro mags now arriving at the N. Hobart postoffice for him are promptly confiscated and burned. Damn sorry Don, but that is how blue noses get their name, y'know. Martin Alger gets photo of Martian landscape! Shifting sand, space ship, volcanoes, all included. To be on a LeZ cover soon! Watch! "I love you LeZ" ART R. SEHNERT "I love you LeZ" TOM WRIGHT "I love you LeZ" WALT LIEBSCHER STEPHEN J. TAKACS "I love you LeZ" EARL BARR HANSON "I love you LeZ" NORMAN W. SALSTROM "I love you LeZ" JOHN L. MILLARD "I love you LeZ" ERLE KORSHAK "I love you LeZ" JERRY KEELEY "I love you LeZ" TOM WRIGHT "I love you LeZ" THAD WILLIAMS Thank you one and all !
