Page 3 EDITORIAL INTRODUCTION We personally believe that the basic idea behind SCIENCE FANTASY MOVIE REVIEW is something new. It shall be our policy to issue this magazine whenever a fantastic picture which we consider worthy of our attention is released. Each issue will contain material relating only to one movie. We hope this plan will meet with you approval. Without further ado, we dedicate this first issue to a truly great picture, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." CRITISM Your editor was much elated when a fantasy film, "Lost Horizon" , was voted by all critics one of the ten best motion pictures of 1937. I entertained a fond hope that another such would be produced in 1938. And, wonder of wonders, such a picture has already been made! To tell the truth, I listened to the glowing praises of preview reviewers with a knowing grin on my face. But, when I at last sat down in my favorite theatre for the showing of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", my sarcasm turned first to amazement and then to pure joy. True, "Snow White" is a fairy tale; it has no flesh and blood actors. But in my opinion, anyone who can't enjoy this charming and thoroughly entertaining bit of fantasy, is dead from the shoulders up.
