Th Aug 20 we had a lovely rain this forenoon we needed it affal bad for pasture & every thing as it was so dry & the air is nice & cool the men buried poor Old Mary horse today Wallace found her in the pasture dead this morning she was 23 years old I finished my blue dress scrubed Fri Aug 21 was real warm this fornoon & this afternoon it rained a little & got cooler Al Em & I was at Lizzies to day Darn Kiple & family came home today sat Aug 22 A very cold day cold enough for fire all day & we fear frost to night Mother & father went to Wadena Mother got a new dish pan I went to Minnie B this Eve & sewed a little on her machine making a Ketchall for Lizzie sunday Aug 23 was affal cold all day cold enough
