I got a lovely handkerchief to day through the mail from Miss Effie McNeff came in Wallaces letter Wed July 16 A very windy day sun very warm we had a electric storm this morning Clid Tampson is helping us hay commenced work to day I ironed th July 17 A very warm day it rained this afternoon couldent hall in hay Fri July 18 A rainy day Clide went home Wallace took him we have a peddler for the night sat July 19 A misty cloudy day Father went to Elkader for repairer for his binder Rev Kirsch came for the night sun July 20 A rainy misty cloudy day Kirsch went away this morning I dident go to church on account of the mud
