wed sept 10 another chilly day we was busy all fornoon drying corn & lots of other things this afternoon Mother & I gathered over 2 sacks of hazelnuts Father helped Kimpstans thresh th sept 11 A cold chilly day we are afraid of frost & gathered over a sack of hazelnuts we got some apples to day down to Kimpstans I took a flying trip over to Linies frost last night Fri sept 12 A cold chilly cloudy day I dug potatoes all day am very tired (Eric Cannes?) was here for dinner to day we had frost last night dident hurt any thing sat sept 13 A chilly day had a heavy frost last night bit the corn & vines I sent a letter to Linie to day
