While we are waiting for the lights to go on again all over the world, Fran Laney's ACOLYTE continues to shine on as the harvest moon of the fan mag field. However it is not general fan mag, however this does not keep it from being tops, however he does find time to take care of the LASFS treasury, However he is noted for the use of the seven letter word "HOWEVER". [Illustration: Caricature of a man in glasses, Francis T. Laney] [Illustration: Caricature of a man in a suit and tie, Merlin Brown] Modest Mel of the phone book's four pages of Brown's. He never indulges unless he can get close enough to see it. He is a Foreman of sorts in a canning factory. Although he has often been accused of canning some of his own corn he is quite funny. Caught here at an off moment he was complimented on the size of his last "FAN SLANTS" Said Mr. Brown: "It was nothing."
