Knowing several familiars personally, and having talked to the possessors of countless more, my heart would, I fear, complete dissolve in an acid bath of naked fear and unreasoning terror at the very hint of any such organization being formed and directed against myself and my philosophy. I fear that the Red occupation of China is going to be particularly unpleasant and extremely untenable. May Satan have mercy on their souls. Conditions in China sadden me immensely, so much so that, besides the vital urge for me to set down that which I have, anything and everything else seems drab and so very unimportant. So, then, I shall close this month's column, with the promise that in next month's column I shall have some of the text of a very interesting missive from an old colleague who now resides on the slopes of Bald Mountain, plus interesting bits of gossip and tasty news items which occur in time for inclusion. 35
