FFF WEEKLY PAGE 27 STIRRING & COSMIC NEWS :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: STIRRING SCIENCE STORIES is the final title of the 1st of the Albing science-fiction magazines It will be publishes b-monthly, alternating each month with COSMIC STORIES. Stirring Science Stories will appear Dec 15, dated February 1941. It will be a uniquely experimental magazine-combining within one mag two different titles: Stirring Science Stories and Stirring Fantasy Fiction. The 1st half of the mag is allSTF the 2nd half is weird and fantastic fiction. THE cover is different from that of any pulp magazine now on the stands. It is a combination of color and black & White illustration by Morey. (If this type of cover does not click we will use the regular all-color cover as other magazines do) Future stories in this issue will be "Dead Center by S D Gottosman "Citadel of Thought" by Damon Knight, "Luna Gun" by John L Chapman, "Strange Return" by Lawrence Woods, and another yarn/ In the Weird fantasy half will be featured "Thirteen O'Clock" by David H Koller, "The Devotee of Evil" by Clark Ashton Smith, "Out of the Jar" by Charles R Tanner, and others. Poems by Robert E Howard, A.Morritt, and Wilfred Morley. Illustrations in this issue by Lee Morey, Hannes Bok, John Forte Jr, Kyle, Roy Hunt and J Mooney/ COSMIC STORIES will be on the stands Jan 1st/ It will be all science-fiction. Tentative line-up will have "[Mecanica?]" by Frank Edward Arnold, "Planet Leave" by Ciifton B Kruse, "The Secret Sense" by Isaac Asimov", "Return from M-15" by S D Gottesman, "The Martian Are Coming!" by R W Lowndos and others. Illustrations will be by Moroy, Bok, Giunta, Hunt and Kyle. Both magazines will sell for 15 ¢ New writers are invited to send material. WE will use poetry to a greater extent than any other science-fiction magazine. Science-fiction poetry is needed.
