Your letter, dated August 3, 1970, has been received, however, at this time, I still have not heard from Mr. Richard Lally, whom you informed me was in charge of investigating formal complaints.
I have also been informed by the National Office of the NAACP, that a Mr. Gerald Coates is the Director of the Civil Rights Division of the Federal Department of Transportation. I would appreciate your help in seeing that my communications are in the proper hands and channeled, so they might be acted on.
