Farm Operation

1. The owner of a farm operation is eligible for an actual, reasonable payment in moving his farm operation; actual direct losses of tangible personal property as a result of moving his farm operation; actual, reasonable expenses in searching for a replacement farm; or
2. If the farm operation is discontinued at its present location the owner or operator of a farm operation may be eligible for a fixed payment in lieu of actual moving expenses and for payment of actual direct losses of tangible personal property as a result of the move.

Non-Profit Organization
A displaced non-profit organization is eligible to receive payments for actual, reasonable moving expenses, actual direct losses of tangible personal property and actual, reasonable expenses in searching for a replacement site.

General Requirements
To receive payment for any benefits you must meet the following conditions:
1. You must own tangible personal property that must be moved off the land to be acquired for the highway purposes.
2. You must have relocated into decent, safe and sanitary housing within one (1) year from the date you vacated the property acquired for highway purposes.
3. You must file a written claim for a payment on forms furnished by the Highway Commission within eighteen (18) months from the date you vacated the property acquired for highway purposes.
