HOW TO HAVE YOUR CLAIM REVIEWED Any person dissatisfied with a determination as to his eligibility for a payment or as to the amount of payment offered under the Relocation Assistance Program may have his application reviewed by the Highway Commission. The procedure to obtain such a review is as follows: 1. A written statement requesting the review, and outlining the items in dispute must be sent to the Director of Highways, Iowa State Highway Commission, Ames, Iowa 50010. 2. Attach documentation to this statement necessary to establish your lawful occupancy of the land acquired for the period of time necessary to show your eligibility. this requirement may be satisfied by copies of documents such as a deed, contract of purchase, a lease, rent receipts and the like. 3. State the amount or amounts you are claiming. 4. The statement of the amount(s) you are claiming must include your reasons for feeling that you are entitled to the amount claimed. Upon receipt of this written statement, the Director of Highways will appoint a review board and notify you when and where a hearing will be held. The hearing will be held in the Highway Commission District where the property acquired is located and you will be given full opportunity to be heard. The review board will recommend a decision on your claim to the Highway Commission. You will be promptly notified of the Commission's decision in writing by the Relocation Assistance Supervisor
