in the energy range of (10 exponent 9) - (10 exponent 4) ev / nucleon and of all components of the primary radiation in the energy range from (10 exponent 11) to (10 exponent 14) ev / nucleon. It is shown that even the heaviest nuclei in the primary radiation (Z ~ 26) have lost their orbital electrons before entering the atmosphere which supports the assumption that they do not proceed from the solar corona directly to the earth. It is also shown that the velocity spectrum of all primaries of charge Z>1 is independent of the mass of the nuclei and that it differs only slightly from that of the proton component in the energy interval between (3 x (10 exponent 8)) and (10 exponent 10) ev / nucleon. [sketch/picture] plan drawing including: "brass 3mm thick", "G-5 plates (100 μ)", "(20 brass plates)", etc. In addition, six 150 μ emulsion [placed?] on top of whole assembly. Chapter I [sketch/picture] drawing includes: "Heavy Nucleus", downward motion, to "Light Target (?)" Evaporation alpha's from the heavy target nucleus though isotropic and of low energy in the rest system
