technical coordinator for the cosmic ray program of the I.G.Y. The idea (proposed by Serge Korff) would be to have a contract executed by N.S.F. with the University for his support and for travel allowance, etc. Plan to require ~ 1 week/month for traveling and coordination work at other I.G.Y. groups, the remainder of his time to be devoted to research as worked out between Soberman and myself here. I agreed wholeheartedly and therefore this will probably be done. Soberman called on Monday the 26th & confirmed his desire to do this. I advised our salary scale for 11 months would
