8 November During last week, Frank McDonald and I have been giving a preliminary reading of the flight data from recent expedition - now looks very likely that "the soft radiation" consists of x-rays of energies of the order of 20 to 50 kilovolts. Concentration of the effect in the auroral zone is confirmed by 1955 work. i.e. 64⁰ ≤ lambda ≤ 78⁰ -----------------------------
