On 26 and 27 January the Upper Atmosphere Rocket Research Panel had an excellent "Symposium on the Scientific Uses of Earth Satellites." I organized the program -- we had 36 papers on Introduction, Systems, Tracking, Geodetics, Techniques, Drag, Atmospheric Density, Meteorology, Radiations (Solar and Cosmic), meteorites, relativity, Geomagnetic Field, Ionosphere. The meeting was held in Ann Arbor, Michigan. About 95 persons in attendance, including the speakers. During the course of the meetings we also had a meeting of the Technical Panel on Rocketry.
